We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our team at St. Vincent Neighborhood Hospital - Castleton, part of Ascension Living.

As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients, working closely with our Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to ensure the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients under the supervision of a RN or LPN/LVN, maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Present medication to patients, observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
  • Take vital signs or observe patients to detect response to medication, reporting reactions to the healthcare team.
  • Restock medication inventories to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring resident safety by identifying potential hazards and emergency situations, and taking corrective action as needed.
