In the role of Consulting Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to address the educational strategy and development requirements of our clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. You will confidently oversee the execution of innovative and practical learning strategies and solutions we design. Setting the project vision, guiding the team, and personally crafting deliverables are essential aspects of this position. Thus, possessing critical thinking abilities alongside experience or a keen interest in organizational transformation is crucial.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and nurturing robust relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Overseeing project timelines and coordinating necessary internal resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Communicating project status updates to both internal teams and clients.
  • Creating project initiation presentations, status reports, executive summaries, and case studies, as well as facilitating and documenting client meetings.
  • Managing and updating multiple project work plans and streams concurrently.
  • Coordinating and supervising team members involved in client projects, including content developers, editors, graphic designers, and subcontractors.
  • Conducting situational and needs assessments to effectively analyze and inform the project roadmap, logistics, scope, and design.
  • Assisting the Project Lead in defining the strategic objectives of projects and collaborating with clients and the broader Salience Learning team to establish learning goals.
  • Supporting the development of learning solution deliverables, applying adult learning and instructional design principles as needed.
  • Articulating the value of Salience Learning and the rationale behind our educational strategies and design choices.
  • Reviewing deliverables in detail, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality before client submission.
  • Participating in staffing discussions to ensure projects are adequately resourced for success.
  • Providing performance feedback for project team members as requested.
  • Tracking client requests and global changes to maintain consistency across program deliverables.
  • Preparing and/or conducting virtual and in-person training sessions, managing all logistical aspects.
  • Efficiently navigating the client's legal, medical, and regulatory review processes for each deliverable.
  • Identifying potential project opportunities and collaborating with Salience Leadership to support future business development.
  • Contributing to additional internal initiatives such as upskilling and process improvements as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of management consulting experience in a life sciences strategy consulting environment or agency, with a focus on learning, commercial effectiveness, medical excellence, HR, or organizational transformation.
  • 6+ years of project management experience, including managing multiple project work plans.
  • Strong business acumen in the pharmaceutical sector, encompassing commercial, marketing, and market access.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Demonstrated client management skills.
  • Ability to set a vision and develop deliverables.
  • Experience in supporting learning projects or a strong interest in learning and organizational transformation.
  • A sense of urgency in achieving goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms.
  • Experience with Apple Mac laptops is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
