Position Overview:
As a vital member of the Cayuga Health System team, the Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional patient experiences. This position adapts daily to meet the clinical and administrative needs of our healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients upon their arrival and assist with the check-in process.
  • Verify and update patient demographic information to maintain accurate records.
  • Collect outstanding balances and co-payments efficiently.
  • Manage incoming communications, including taking messages and triaging phone calls.
  • Confirm insurance coverage for patients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a medical office setting.
  • College-level education in a healthcare support field.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Physical Requirements:
Primarily sedentary work with approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing.

Work Environment:
This role involves a combination of onsite and remote work days, promoting flexibility in the workplace.
