Position Overview: The Fixed Income Settlements Associate is essential in facilitating the smooth and effective settlement of fixed income transactions within a self-clearing framework. This role encompasses the management of all facets of the settlements process, including Fed, DTC, and Euroclear Settlements, alongside expertise in tri-party processing. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a self-clearing setting and have a thorough understanding of both Fed and DTC settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the complete fixed income settlements process, which includes trade confirmation, reconciliation, and exception management.
  2. Exhibit a thorough comprehension of all back-office operations associated with fixed income trading, covering trade capture, clearance, and settlement.
  3. Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory standards and industry best practices, demonstrating knowledge of Fed, DTC, and Broadridge Shadow systems.
  4. Regularly evaluate and improve settlement processes and protocols to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
  5. Identify and address settlement-related risks, implementing necessary controls and safeguards.
  6. Maintain effective communication with internal teams, including trading desks, compliance, and risk management, to swiftly resolve settlement issues and concerns.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a self-clearing environment.
  3. Extensive knowledge of fixed income settlements processes and protocols.
  4. Familiarity with Fed, DTC, and Broadridge Shadow systems.
  5. Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  7. Understanding of fixed income products, markets, and trading strategies is advantageous.
  8. Strong grasp of FINRA regulations, particularly concerning fixed income trading, is a plus.
  9. Ability to creatively identify opportunities for streamlining existing processes.
  10. Capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment that requires effective multitasking.
  11. A collaborative team player who can engage with various functional areas within the organization.
Compensation and Benefits:
