Position Summary:

The primary role of the Customer Engagement Specialist is to promote and sell La-Z-Boy products and services. This entails utilizing and enhancing all sales and customer service skills to meet and surpass company objectives. Each specialist is accountable for achieving store targets while nurturing the trust and loyalty of La-Z-Boy's clientele and colleagues, ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Boost sales by contributing to store performance through the sale of furniture, accessories, and services offered by La-Z-Boy.
  • Complete all necessary sales documentation and address customer service inquiries promptly.
  • Participate in company training sessions and store meetings.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members on La-Z-Boy product knowledge and sales techniques to achieve store sales objectives.
  • Accurately manage order details, collect deposits and fees, maintain organized customer records, and investigate customer payments and deliveries.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to harassment, attendance, sales practices, and customer interactions.

Scope & Impact:

  • Conduct a minimum number of home visits to customers.
  • Maintain a sales performance consistent with company standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build rapport.
  • Vocational or technical training in a relevant field.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation for customer visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience with a proven ability to close deals is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with computer technology and systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long durations.
  • Engagement with customers and colleagues requiring focus and concentration.
