POSITION SUMMARY
The OB/GYN Ultrasound Specialist is primarily tasked with executing a range of high-quality obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of formal training in ultrasound technology that meets certification requirements with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Certification in OB/GYN from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an OB/GYN ultrasound specialist.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Certification in CPR and AED for Health Care Professionals through recognized courses.
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for specialty behavioral health locations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to understand and convey information effectively.
- Proficiency in standard operating procedures, including equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of business English, spelling, and punctuation.
- Demonstrated leadership and customer service skills.
- Ability to apply continuous quality improvement techniques to enhance patient health outcomes.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to undertake various assignments requiring independent judgment.
- Computer proficiency.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must maintain insurability under company insurance due to travel requirements.
- Maintain all certifications in good standing.
- Competency in interacting with individuals from diverse cultures and social backgrounds.
- Other duties as assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility includes conducting a variety of quality OB/GYN ultrasound procedures, which encompass:
- Performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
- Educating patients about procedures.
- Scanning patients as per provider instructions.
- Documenting findings and generating electronic medical records (EMR) reports.
- Maintaining records while ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Caring for the environment and equipment as necessary.
- Adhering to Universal Precautions and Infection Control protocols.
- Collaborating effectively as a member of the Health Center Team across various functions and departments.
- Mentoring students and less experienced ultrasound specialists.
- Providing support to other health center OB/GYN practices.
- Offering feedback on opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent during travel to various clinic sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to health hazards when working in clinical areas.
