Your Responsibilities:
Overseeing Environmentally Assisted Fatigue (EAF) and Metal Fatigue assessments.
Executing a range of engineering functions to support our proprietary WESTEMS program, a fatigue aging management tool designed for monitoring plant transients and conducting fatigue evaluations.
Creating tailored WESTEMS models for specific sites.
Analyzing data from operational facilities to generate transient cycle counts and fatigue usage metrics at designated locations.
Assisting in software enhancements for the WESTEMS program to improve its capabilities and performance.
Delivering continuous customer support for the WESTEMS software, which includes installation, training, and facilitating user group discussions.
Collaborating with external clients to outline project scopes for commercial proposals.

Engaging in various engineering activities to support our License Renewal and Subsequent License Renewal Projects, focusing on Time-Limited Aging Analyses (TLAAs), Metal Fatigue, and Environmentally Assisted Fatigue (EAF).

Identifying TLAAs, analyzing records of fatigue (AORs), and assessing design transients that form part of the existing licensing framework.
Reviewing operational data, logs, and other documentation to pinpoint historical transient events and forecast transient cycles for extended operational periods.
Conducting EAF screening evaluations to highlight critical component locations that necessitate further scrutiny.

Performing manual calculations to minimize conservatism in the fatigue AOR and applying EAF penalty factors (Fen) in the computation of EAF cumulative usage factors (CUFen).

Utilizing ANSYS software to create finite element models and transfer functions for downstream WESTEMS evaluations.
Employing the WESTEMS software to conduct comprehensive stress and fatigue assessments in accordance with ASME Code Section III Subsection NB-3200 standards.
Working with external clients to define project parameters and address feedback on documentation.
Providing expert consultation to clients to resolve inquiries from regulatory bodies and requests for additional information.

Who You Are:
A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is essential; 10 years or more is preferred.
Experience in piping systems and component analysis is necessary.
Familiarity with ASME Section III and Section XI criteria is advantageous.
Proficiency in FEA and ANSYS/ABAQUS is preferred.
A strong ability to learn quickly and maintain meticulous attention to detail is crucial.
Knowledge of nuclear plant primary systems is preferred.
