Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Technical Program Management to lead a team of Technical Program Managers, providing guidance and leadership to drive successful program execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical program management, with experience in leading large-scale initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow a team of Technical Program Managers, providing leadership and guidance to drive successful program execution.
  • Ensure the Core organization's TPM needs are covered by proactively identifying resource gaps and misaligned priorities.
  • Work closely with the Core VP of Engineering and VP of Product to contribute to the product and technology strategy.
  • Proactively identify high-impact programs, drive yearly planning across Core, and ensure our priorities, incremental opex, and infrastructure costs are aligned with the business strategy and approved by our executive team.
  • Define and manage the operating rhythms for the Core team, including execution and business reviews.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure alignment, prioritize tasks, and make crucial decisions in collaboration with internal partners and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in building and managing a team of Technical Program Managers and leading large-scale or complex technical initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of technical program managers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technology and business challenges.
  • Experience working in consumer-facing product development, with a focus on search, shopping, personalization, and content.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and leveraging machine learning algorithms for product features.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in user experience, search, personalization, and e-commerce.
  • Capable of building credibility and fostering connections with senior executives and team members.
  • Skilled in fostering organizational growth and cultivating a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
