About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Transmission & Distribution global practice in Akron, Ohio. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in the development of modernized grid infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute electrical design projects from conceptual phase to completion.
  • Research, design, and compile project-related data as required by project managers.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Create project deliverables, including device configurations, network architecture diagrams, and specifications.
  • Utilize innovative tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3D scanning, and model-based design.
  • Modify and review construction drawings and client presentations for various projects related to electric utilities.
  • Meet and correspond with clients or outside personnel to develop relationships with key client points of contact.
  • Perform design quality reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • Or Bachelor of Science in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering may be substituted for 1 year experience.
  • 3 years of electrical telecommunications engineering experience, consulting preferred.
  • Successful completion (i.e., passing) FE or EIT preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
