Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled Land Survey Specialist to perform survey work related to topography, boundary, and construction staking.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct survey work on land projects, operate instrumentation, and clear brush as needed.
- Drive stakes, hold chains or rods, take simple notes, and make minor sketches.
- Utilize various surveying programs to gather, retrieve, and interpret important data.
- Perform minor computations as required and aid in the upkeep of survey vehicles and tools.
- 3-5 years of related land survey experience.
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying.
- Skilled in the use of GPS and conventional equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors under various field conditions.
- Ability to operate motorized equipment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Engineering, or Geomatics.
- Experience with LiDAR scanning equipment.
- Familiarity with Trimble equipment, Survey Controller, and Trimble Business Center.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- First Aid, CPR, or 40-hr Hazwoper certification.
- Experience with client communications.
- Experience working with Engineers in a consulting environment.
