Position Overview

The Healthcare Service Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering outstanding patient experiences by managing the check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Warmly welcomes patients, clients, and visitors upon arrival at the facility
  • Handles incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and promptness
  • Organizes and schedules patient appointments
  • Collects necessary patient and insurance details
  • Confirms and inputs patient demographic information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy
  • Validates vision and medical insurance details and updates the EMR accordingly
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of various insurance plans to effectively communicate relevant information to patients
  • Reviews schedules to confirm insurance eligibility prior to appointments and ensures documentation is complete
  • Prepares insurance claims and generates reports to ensure all charges are accurately billed and submitted
  • Prints and organizes necessary forms for patient visits
  • Records and processes all charges, co-pays, and payments within the EMR system
  • Allocates outstanding balances to insurance as required
  • Maintains a tidy and organized workspace at all times
  • Utilizes resources efficiently, including time, equipment, and supplies
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations
  • Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to uphold patient confidentiality and practice confidentiality within the organization
