About the Role:

The Healthcare Coordinator will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, supporting patients with activities of daily living and performing patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse within the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with unit leadership in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit, including the processing of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel.
  • Support department operational needs and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role.
  • Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role.
  • Certification in CPR/BLS.
  • Must have one of the following: Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility, completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months, nursing student or listed as pre-nursing as shown on transcripts, or current employee with Kettering Health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and function in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to comprehend and complete delegated tasks.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm, full-time, 8 hours/day shift.
