Job Overview

Fusion Technology LLC is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Network Installation Team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), satellite communications, and other data communications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless network operations and optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement network security protocols to protect against cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular network maintenance and upgrades to ensure system stability and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on LAN and WAN technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with network security tools and technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • DoD M Baseline and Computing Environment Certifications, such as AIT-I or higher.
  • Experience with network management software, including CiscoWorks and HP OpenView.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment for this position will be primarily remote, with occasional travel to various government sites worldwide. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The physical demands of this position include sitting for extended periods, using a computer and other electronic devices, and occasional travel to remote locations.
