About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Community Health Network. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient visits and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice.
  • Participate in Network quality initiatives, promoting best practices and contributing to the improvement of patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient's chief complaint and available protocols.
  • Process referrals and medication refills, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements
  • Diploma from a Medical Assistant program or a high school diploma + 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice.
  • Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude towards teamwork and patient care.
