Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing service center activities by managing a dedicated team of warehouse and customer service staff. This position is pivotal in enhancing both customer and employee satisfaction while optimizing operational efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with various departments to maximize the overall capabilities of the organization, ensuring an exceptional experience for our network of dealers.
- Leads employee relations initiatives through effective communication, coaching, and professional development.
- Facilitates problem-solving efforts to promote quicker resolutions and foster positive working relationships.
- Oversees material management to enhance inventory turnover and minimize excess stock.
- Ensures adherence to company standards regarding cost management, waste reduction, quality assurance, safety protocols, and timely deliveries.
- Coordinates efforts between sales, operations, and customer service teams.
- Guarantees that all personnel execute their duties safely and efficiently.
- Balances workload across the warehouse to maintain operational flow.
- Assesses staffing needs and ensures compliance with organizational policies.
- Manages adherence to capital investment requirements and improvement initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Possesses the capability to perform various warehouse roles and is willing to adapt as necessary.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Assists the Supervisor in strategizing, planning, and executing operational objectives.
- Promotes the core values of the company.
Safety is paramount in all roles at Nucor; therefore, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to initiating, leading, and maintaining safety policies, practices, and standards consistently.
Minimum Qualifications:- At least two years of experience in sales and/or management.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales and/or management is preferred.
