Position Overview:

As a Satellite Communication Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our intricate satellite communication network. Your expertise will ensure optimal radio link performance across our global ground station infrastructure while adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of RF components for satellite ground stations.
  • Develop comprehensive link budgets and performance cascades to assess design effectiveness, addressing any discrepancies through operational data analysis.
  • Propose innovative design modifications aimed at enhancing system efficiency and reducing operational costs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation for spectrum licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for satellite systems across various jurisdictions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in characterizing radio performance in Ku-Band and Ka-Band.
  • Proficient in using RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF or Radio Communication.
  • Familiarity with RF passive components such as hybrid couplers and circulators.
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation techniques.
  • Understanding of communication theory, including modulation and noise figure analysis.
  • Experience in analyzing and simulating linear and non-linear circuits.
  • Background in specifying and developing communication systems for cellular or satellite applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or LabVIEW for test automation.
  • Experience with modeling and analyzing RF systems using tools like Matlab or C++.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
