Position Overview
This role plays a vital part in supporting the Human Resources department as a key member of the Talent Acquisition team. The Coordinator serves as one of the initial points of contact for new employees, motivating them and preparing them for their orientation.
Key Responsibilities
The individual will be responsible for organizing onboarding processes and managing every aspect of the new hire experience. This includes:
- Communicating organizational and role-specific details to newly hired team members.
- Setting initial expectations and collecting necessary documentation.
- Facilitating pre-employment visits and processing payroll adjustments.
- Maintaining departmental records and responding to team member inquiries.
- Coordinating meetings and events while providing general administrative support.
Educational Qualifications
- Associate's Degree is required.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of administrative experience in a clerical role.
- 2-3 years of customer service experience, including face-to-face, phone, and electronic communication.
- Ability to systematically manage important documents.
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and resume databases is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a recruiting or onboarding support capacity is preferred.
- Some background in HR or a relevant field is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional customer service and follow-through capabilities.
- Strong understanding of organizational culture and its significance in fostering success.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Proven ability to cultivate positive public relations for the department and the organization, relating well to team members, patients, volunteers, medical staff, and visitors.
