Credentialing Coordinator

At Augusta Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Credentialing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Staff Department, you will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining all credentialing-related duties, including initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and overseeing the onboarding process of incoming providers. You will also be responsible for offboarding existing providers, managed through various electronic and paper communications with providers, locum agencies, practice administrators, recruitment specialists, and the health system executive team.

• Coordinate and monitor credentialing-related duties, including initial credentialing and re-credentialing.
• Oversee the onboarding process of incoming providers and offboard existing providers.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including providers, locum agencies, practice administrators, recruitment specialists, and the health system executive team.
• Maintain credentialing data bases and physician on-call schedules.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications through NAMSS, AAPC, NCQA, or other nationally recognized credentialing associations are desired.
• Hold CPCS, CPMSM, or dual certifications, or be willing to continue education to become certified.
• Previous credentialing experience and two years' experience working in an administrative role within a healthcare office are desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
