We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Executive Director, Administrator, or Senior Clinical Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations at your designated hospice location, ensuring the clinical integrity of the hospice program and the quality of care provided to patients.
- Assuming leadership of the site in the absence of the Executive Director, Administrator, or Senior/Executive Clinical Operations Manager.
- Managing both clinical and administrative functions, including recordkeeping.
- Responding promptly and compassionately to phone referrals and inquiries.
- Participating in the on-call nursing schedule and delivering direct skilled nursing care in patients' homes.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of three years of experience in direct patient care within a clinical environment is required, with at least two years in hospice or home care settings.
- Current nursing license valid in the state of employment.
Licenses, Certifications, and Registration:
- Active nursing license in the state of employment.
- Personal Traits and Qualities:
- Demonstrated responsibility, maturity, cooperation, flexibility, and tact in interactions with colleagues and members of the hospice team.
Possessing knowledge of the needs of terminally ill patients and their families, as well as an understanding of the hospice model, is essential. Familiarity with the roles of various disciplines providing hospice services and a thorough understanding of managed care principles and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) is also important.
