Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Emergency Care department. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, they are responsible for administering direct patient care, treatments as ordered by the physician, and medications as outlined by hospital policy and procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering patient care
  • Administer medications as outlined by hospital policy and procedure
  • Provide direct patient care as ordered by the physician
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a State Board accredited Vocational School of Nursing or equivalent
  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • AHA BLS certification within two weeks of employment
  • AHA ACLS certification within eight weeks of employment

Work Environment:
