Job Summary

STG International is seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for taking radiologic images of the head, trunk, and extremities for routine physical examinations and for diagnosis of illness or injuries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Image Acquisition: Take radiologic images of the head, trunk, and extremities using various imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, and MRI.
  • Positioning and Preparation: Position patients correctly and prepare them for imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Image Evaluation: Evaluate radiologic images to ensure they are of high quality and meet diagnostic standards.
  • Communication: Communicate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate from a certificate or Associate Degree Radiology Technologist program accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Experience: One year experience as a certified (license if required) Radiology Technologist.
  • Licensure: Current, full, and unrestricted license as Radiology Technologist in the state of Texas.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass a federal government security background check.
  • Citizenship: US Citizen.

Physical Demands

  • Physical Ability: Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 10 minutes and maintain balance.
  • Response Time: Required to respond to any medical emergency within 4 minutes, where a fast walk or jog may be necessary to provide assistance.
  • CPR and Emergency Care: Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
  • Assistance: Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling, or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
  • Sensory Abilities: Must be able to see, hear and smell with or without the use of aides if necessary (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).
  • Alternating Positions: Must easily alternate between kneeling and standing.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift, push, or carry 30 pounds.
  • Standing: Must be capable of standing on hard surfaces (cement floors) for long periods of time.
