About the Role

Capital One is seeking a seasoned Director, Procurement Management to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging, where varying perspectives and opinions are valued.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Supplier Management, Relationship Management, and Procurement. You will work closely with internal team members to establish and maintain relationships with internal business customers, account teams, and assigned suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Problem Solving & Strategy Advice: Provide innovative solutions to support internal customers, identifying value-generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth).
  • Negotiation: Partner to negotiate contracts for a broad range of services for Capital One.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third-party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third-party contractual obligations.
  • Process Management: Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third-party relationships. Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.
  • Supplier Sourcing: Maintain awareness of the external marketplace as it relates to your suppliers and perform sourcing activities where appropriate.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Serve as a people manager, coach, and mentor to develop less seasoned and experienced Supplier Managers in their development.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management, or Procurement.
  • At least 6 years of experience in Process Management or Project Management.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management, or Procurement.
  • 6+ years of experience in Risk Management.
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations Management.
