Local Presence: FUJIFILM Imaging Colorants, Inc. operates within FUJIFILM's Ink Solutions Group, which encompasses four companies across the UK and USA. Our facility specializes in the production of aqueous dyes, RxD, and inks to support the digital printing market.

NATURE OF POSITION

The Procurement Operations team is responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchase order management and import documentation. This team ensures that Fujifilm Imaging Colorants, Inc. maintains competitive pricing and optimal purchasing conditions. The Strategic Procurement Operations Manager will also identify cost-saving opportunities and participate in discussions with the broader FUJIFILM Group to enhance procurement efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Material Procurement
    • Negotiate pricing and supply agreements for all raw materials and components to maximize benefits for the organization.
    • Provide suppliers with accurate forecasts to ensure visibility of requirements and prevent supply interruptions.
    • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to minimize costs and enhance supply security.
    • Manage orders based on SAP-generated requirements to align with manufacturing schedules.
    • Utilize ERP systems to streamline purchasing processes and improve operational efficiencies.
    • Ensure compliance with quality, legal, and regulatory standards in all purchasing activities.
  2. Supplier Management
    • Continuously assess supplier performance and collaborate with underperforming suppliers to address service issues.
    • Conduct regular feedback sessions with suppliers to enhance service quality and negotiate compensation when necessary.
    • Support supplier auditing processes in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team.
  3. Project Support
    • Provide comprehensive purchasing services for project-based equipment and services related to capital expansion and new product introductions.
    • Evaluate market bids and negotiate terms to meet project deadlines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify sourcing options for new product initiatives.
  4. Purchasing Strategy
    • Implement commodity strategies that align with business objectives and ensure long-term availability of materials.
    • Conduct risk assessments to determine optimal sourcing strategies.
    • Stay informed about governmental regulations and their implications for procurement practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in SAP/ERP purchasing.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
  • Knowledge of direct and indirect materials procurement.
  • Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications.
