Job SummaryThe Department of English at the University of South Carolina, Columbia campus, is seeking applications for a tenure-track, full-time, 9-month role in Technical and Professional Communication at the rank of Assistant Professor.
We are looking for a proactive TPC scholar whose research focuses on one or more of the following areas:global and transnational communication; diversity and social advocacy; enhancement of information design for marginalized communities; multilingualism; health communication; disability studies; inclusive design; feminist perspectives; research methodologies; TPC pedagogies; or Writing in the Disciplines/Writing Across the Curriculum.
A proven track record of conducting high-quality research is essential.The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate programs, which include a concentration in Writing and a minor in Professional Writing and Communication, as well as our M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Composition and Rhetoric. The teaching load is 2/2. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
