About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Technical and Professional Communication to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of technical and professional communication, as well as conducting research and contributing to the development of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in technical and professional communication, including writing, editing, and design
  • Develop and implement curriculum in technical and professional communication
  • Conduct research in technical and professional communication and present findings at conferences
  • Advise students in the field of technical and professional communication
  • Contribute to the development of our programs in technical and professional communication
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as technical and professional communication, rhetoric, or English
  • Experience teaching and mentoring students in technical and professional communication
  • Strong research and publication record in technical and professional communication
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum in technical and professional communication
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
