We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Communication and Emerging Media. The successful candidate will be a specialist in interactive media communication with a strong background in teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities- Teach core courses in communication and emerging media, including interactive media communication, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, and public speaking.
- Develop and implement high-impact pedagogy and innovative teaching methods to engage students and promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Conduct research and publish scholarly articles in top-tier journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including academic advisement, committee work, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives, including the Media Learning and Research Lab (MLRL) and online programs.
- PhD in communication or mass communication, or related field, required by time of appointment.
- Strong teaching and research background, with a focus on interactive media communication.
- Experience in developing and implementing high-impact pedagogy and innovative teaching methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
