The Educational Systems Specialist - Intermediate is responsible for developing instructional materials, coordinating educational content, and integrating contemporary technology into teaching methodologies to provide guidance to educators and trainers in curriculum development and course execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts reviews of content throughout all phases of the development process, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to contract specifications.
- Maintains courseware lessons that facilitate training for significant military-related systems.
- Interprets compliance policies and standards for curriculum design and documentation for training sessions.
- Independently executes training situation analyses and job task analyses to support the functional design and development of synthetic training systems and equipment.
- Accurately documents the outcomes of analyses, utilizing appropriate industry and government standards.
- Generates comprehensive documentation including: Training Situation Analyses, Functional Descriptions, Instructional Performance Requirements, and more.
- Completes annual company and customer-required training as mandated.
- Submits daily timesheets in an online system following company policies and procedures.
- May require travel up to 50% of the time.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including at least 24 semester hours pertinent to this position, covering at least four of the following areas: Learning Theory, Instructional Design Practices, Educational Evaluation, Instructional Product Development, and Computers in Education and Training.
- A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in the instructional systems field, demonstrating knowledge of learning theory and instructional methodologies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a Top-secret clearance with the capability to obtain SCI.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences within two hours, as required.
- Familiarity with subjects or occupations related to educational or training instruction, including occupational analysis and instructional program evaluation.
- Proficient in various computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Exemplary organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Capacity to multi-task in a high-performance environment.
- Robust problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
