Job Title: Cardiovascular Specialist

Baptist Health Care is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Specialist to join our team in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform all required procedures in the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratory, operating specialized equipment including x-ray equipment, EP pacing systems, hemodynamic monitoring, and other specialized equipment.
  • Assess patients' conditions to determine proper handling and special requirements.
  • Explain and prepare patients for all invasive procedures.
  • Interview patients and review clinical data to alert nurses and physicians to possible contradictions for procedures.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including checking stock inventory and initiating orders.
  • Train staff technologists and students as needed.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Technical Diploma/Certificate Allied Health, Associates Degree Allied Health, or Bachelor's Degree Allied Health.
  • Licenses and Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS Provider, National Institutes Of Health Stroke Scale, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Registered Technologist.
