Early Head Start Disabilities Coordinator Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Disabilities Coordinator to support the developmental progress of infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in early childhood education or special education, along with a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with families, educators, and service providers to identify and implement effective strategies for children's development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with families to identify children with disabilities or developmental delays and facilitate assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for children with disabilities.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for working with children with diverse needs.
- Coordinate with community agencies and service providers to ensure comprehensive support services are available.
- Conduct regular training sessions for educators on inclusive teaching strategies and disability awareness.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning early childhood education and special education services.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, meetings, services provided, and outcomes for children with disabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people, including parents and educators.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to conduct assessments and interpret results effectively.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
