Position Overview:

The Rock Climbing Facility Supervisor is a motivated, detail-focused, and proactive individual responsible for ensuring a welcoming, clean, and secure atmosphere for all guests while embodying FFC's core principles. You will collaborate with a supportive and diverse team that values relationship-building and enhancing the experience of others. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with our distinctive regional brand, pursue advancement, and explore career paths in management and full-time roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market the climbing wall as a service within the facility
  • Collaborate with Member Services and the Assistant Club Manager to develop sales initiatives and promote the climbing wall
  • Oversee climbing wall programs, providing personalized coaching to assist clients in achieving their objectives
  • Act as a consultant to the fitness team as instructed by the Fitness Director
  • Adhere to all FFC Climbing Wall safety protocols, regulations, and guidelines
  • Support other instructors during training sessions
  • Coordinate lesson schedules for fellow instructors
  • Participate in the recruitment process
  • Assist with budget planning and evaluations
  • Educate staff and members on climbing wall operations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of climbing experience
  • Certification as a belayer, spotter, and/or top rope climber
  • Ability to provide consistent and exceptional customer service to all members, guests, and staff
  • Physical requirements include: standing and walking for the duration of the shift (often 4-8 hours), climbing stairs, kneeling, pushing and pulling objects, lifting and moving items (up to 50 lbs.)
