Job Summary

The CoxHealth Biomedical Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of clinical equipment to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. This individual will document repairs, perform safety checks, and implement preventive measures. The successful candidate will be eligible for the on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on clinical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Document all repairs, maintenance, and safety checks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct safety checks and implement preventive measures to prevent equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to resolve equipment-related issues and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer's service and operator manuals, as well as other relevant documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related field or completion of Military Biomedical training program.
  • Five years of Biomed experience.
  • Completion of seven manufacturer-level seminars.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
