Project Manager Opportunity

DataStaff, Inc is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead a contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in the Richmond, VA area.

This position requires onsite work and offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage options, as well as paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Project Execution: Coordinate internal and external resources, manage project teams, and ensure project milestones and deliverables are met according to the project plan.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project outputs meet required standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all project activities, decisions, and changes.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential negative impacts.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the IT sector.
  • Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is required.
  • Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) PM certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.

This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position. DataStaff, Inc. offers a 401k program available for employees after 6 months.
