DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead a long-term contract opportunity with one of our esteemed clients in the Richmond, VA area.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days of on-site work and 3 days of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive data governance framework, policies, and processes.
- Collaborate extensively with partner stakeholders to implement the data governance framework and organizational structure, develop policies and procedures, and apply those policies and procedures to the systems.
- Ensure that the project delivers data governance decisions and guidance for the data sources to be ingested into the new Enterprise Data Warehouse, including Electronic Health Record data from the Community Service Boards (CSBs).
- Participate in the Data Exchange Team, which works closely together to ensure activities are aligned across the projects.
- The role requires effective communication with a wide variety of stakeholders up to the executive level, including facilitating meetings, taking meeting minutes, and following up on actions by the Data Governance Council, the Data Decision Team, data stewards, data owners, and other subject matter experts.
- Experience with data governance, data warehouse implementations, data exchange, data analytics, and Health IT projects is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
- 10 Years - Proficient in communication and negotiation at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- 10 Years - Proficient in scheduling and time management.
- 10 Years - Proficient in risk management - identify and mitigate risks.
- 10 Years - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- 10 Years - Proficient in team building, motivating, and inspiring.
- 10 Years - Experience in vendor management - vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ensuring successful delivery of vendor solutions.
- 8 Years - Proficient in both waterfall and agile project management techniques.
- PMP-certified (REQUIRED).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data governance solutions, data integration, data modeling, and metadata management.
- The resource will agree to obtain VITA PMDP qualification (Required) - manager to determine timeline based on when course is offered.
Desired Skills:
- 4 Years - Experience with managing a project for implementing data governance policies, processes, and tools.
- 4 Years - Experience with reporting and analytics - understand and interpret data analytics and reporting requirements.
- 4 Years - Experience with business rules engines and ETL tools.
- 4 Years - Experience with data exchange solutions.
- 4 Years - Experience in Health IT.
- 4 Years - Experience with data warehouse implementations.
- 4 Years - Experience with procuring technology solutions - managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
This opportunity is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
