Job Description

DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a long-term contract opportunity for one of our direct clients in the IT industry.

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex IT projects with multiple teams and work streams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver IT projects with multiple teams and work streams, coordinating efforts to meet aggressive delivery schedules.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical project manager, working closely with development staff and business groups to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate and communicate with IT management and staff to allocate resources and prioritize tasks.
  • Communicate project timelines and expectations to technical and business staff, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
  • Facilitate collaboration among technical teams, vendors, and contractors to execute projects efficiently.
  • Adhere to project management practices and governance requirements, ensuring compliance and quality.
  • Coordinate with project management offices to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status, disseminating information to team members and stakeholders as defined in the communication plan.
  • Ensure documentation of requirements and use cases, facilitating design workshops for assigned projects.
  • Prepare test objectives, test plans, and test cases for assigned projects, ensuring thorough testing and quality assurance.
  • Manage project milestones and deliverables, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Define, measure, and communicate project progress using relevant metrics.
  • Support system and application training efforts, ensuring smooth adoption and user acceptance.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience managing large IT projects valued at $10M or greater each.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure delivery, including networking, physical plant, vendor management, and site provisioning.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in both Scaled Agile and Waterfall Project Management.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects with high visibility and high stakes.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects that require coordination with external teams.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects as part of a larger program under PMO governance.
  • 4+ years of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Project Management, or Finance/Business.

Desired Skills:

  • VITA Certification.
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification.
  • SAFe Scrum Master Certification.
