About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surgical Pathology Coordinator to join our team at Mass General Brigham. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for providing advanced level technical and clerical support to our Surgical Pathology Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and insurance verification of private consult cases received by the Pathology Service
  • Accessioning of specimens according to approved protocols and documentation of materials received
  • Liaison between clients and BWH Pathology, ensuring timely receipt of slides and blocks
  • Organization and management of the Breast Pathology Service, including day-to-day service activities
  • Coordination of conferences, courses, and travel arrangements
  • Preparation and submission of all paperwork associated with reimbursement
  • Maintenance of division-specific databases and creation of reports as needed
Requirements
  • Associate degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years applicable experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting required
  • Understanding and use of advanced level medical terminology required
  • Experience using PowerPath preferred, but not required
