Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for patients with speech, language, and/or swallowing disorders.

Job Description:

  • Location: Medford, Massachusetts

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for examining and evaluating patient's communication and swallowing function, identifying speech, language, and/or swallowing disorders, and developing treatment plans with treatment goals directed towards maximizing function.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine and evaluate patient's communication and swallowing function
  • Identify speech, language, and/or swallowing disorders and associated dysfunction(s)
  • Develop treatment plans with treatment goals directed towards maximizing function
  • Consult with other members of the health care team to insure coordination and effectiveness of therapies provided
  • Assist in implementation of triaging, prioritizing, monitoring admissions, referrals, and discharges to and from the service as assigned

The Speech Language Pathologist will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing skilled speech-language and swallowing services as assigned to patients at Brigham and Women's Hospital and at Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
  • Licensure: Possess or be eligible for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology from the state of Massachusetts
