About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric ICU Nurse Specialist to join our team at Seattle Children's.

Job Summary

The Pediatric ICU Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). This individual will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and families, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for staff and students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current Washington State RN License.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a pediatric ICU setting.
  • Advanced cardiovascular life support certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
