Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the repair of vessels, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills, a strong understanding of vessel repair processes, and the ability to lead a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for vessel repair projects.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for vessel repair, including engineers, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and expectations, and ensure that projects are delivered to meet those requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or project management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel repair project management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to shipyards and other locations. The ability to work in a chemical environment, with prolonged kneeling, standing, walking, twisting, climbing, and the ability to lift and carry in excess of 120 lbs, assisted, is essential.
