The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of full-time Clinical Neurology Educator within the Neuromuscular Division. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in providing clinical services to patients with neuromuscular disorders at various healthcare facilities associated with the University. The appointment will be at the rank of non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track within the Neuromuscular Division, Department of Neurology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients in outpatient settings
  • Perform electromyography (EMG) procedures at designated clinics and enhance the EMG service
  • Provide training and mentorship to medical professionals and support staff
  • Engage in preparation and presentations at educational conferences
  • Establish a research program focused on Neuromuscular Disorders
  • Collect and analyze data to support future clinical research initiatives
  • Conduct EMG testing and develop the EMG service within the healthcare system
  • Participate actively in educational and mentorship programs within the Neuromuscular Division and the Department of Neurology
Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certification
  • MD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)
  • Completion of a Neuromuscular Fellowship is required; board certification in Neurology is highly recommended
  • Eligibility for a Florida Medical License
  • Demonstrated clinical and research expertise in clinical or translational research related to Neuromuscular Disorders
