Rail and Transit Practice Leader Job Description

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking an experienced Rail and Transit Practice Leader to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to drive growth in the rail and transit market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the strategy to accelerate growth in the rail and transit market
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, technical practice leaders, and regional/office leaders to drive growth and success for rail and transit clients, projects, and staff
  • Manage key relationships with major internal/external clients
  • Monitor and support pursuit opportunities and lead major capture efforts
  • Make recommendations on market expansion opportunities in growing geographic markets and with service line expansion
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including leadership experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect
  • Progressive experience in the Rail and Transit planning/design/construction market sector, including successful leadership of multi-disciplinary design projects and programs
  • Thorough understanding of Rail and Transit design and construction processes, regulatory requirements, and business practices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Federal procurement, design and construction
  • Experience with Design-Build and other alternative delivery methods
