Job Summary

A strong knowledge of connecting electrical fittings, soldering, running electrical wiring and performing all physical tasks associated with modifying vehicles for the acceptance of emergency-related equipment and lighting is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of 12-volt electrical systems, able to interpret and follow basic installation instructions, wiring diagrams, and specifications to properly install 12-volt equipment.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw and drill gun.
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure that the product meets quality standards.
  • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must be able to comprehend basic math calculations and measurements.
  • Must have basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate all class C vehicles.
