About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Mechanic to join our team in La Porte, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing in-shop mechanical repairs, upgrades, and packaging of turbomachinery. This includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, damage analysis, modification, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-shop mechanical repairs, upgrades, and packaging of turbomachinery
- Coordinate with manager, planner, and QA/QC to ensure repair requirements are met
- Preparation and packaging of repaired equipment for safe shipments
- Organize and maintain an efficient repair shop area
- Document, inspect, analyze, and complete reports on equipment inspections and repairs
- Work overtime, as required, to meet customer emergency breakdown demands
- Demonstrate and maintain a willingness to learn and test for advancements based on abilities and ambitions presented by the employee
- Perform and promote safety standards within shop and field environments
- Competitive pay: Starting pay ranges from $40-50/hour depending upon experience
