We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit team at El Paso Children's Hospital. This is a full-time position working days, with a competitive salary of $94,500 - $118,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

The Pediatric Intermediate Care Nurse will provide specialized care to children who require a higher level of attention than general care but do not need intensive care. This involves monitoring and managing conditions that fall between general care and intensive care, ensuring the well-being of pediatric patients. The nurse will work closely with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to children recovering from surgery, chronic illnesses, or complex medical conditions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions

Education and Requirements:

  • Current RN License to practice in the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), within 6 months of hire
  • Associate's degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
