Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Licensed Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher to become a vital part of our Education Team. This role involves supervising and guiding a team of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to develop and execute effective educational strategies for individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the tasks and responsibilities of Instructional Aides and Paraprofessionals.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of IEP goals, including progress tracking and data collection.
  • Facilitate training, professional development, and evaluation processes for Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals.
  • Provide direct services on a weekly basis.
  • Support the development of interventions, onboarding of new students, and initial programming.
  • Participate in meetings with educational districts and relevant agencies.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and student programming, adjusting instruction as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to discuss schedule changes, programming, or staffing issues.
  • Assist in the transition of consumers to adult services.
  • Support the input of weekly schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Education Director in planning departmental meetings and other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Current ODE licensure requirements.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with K-12 students and in I/DD preferred.
  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Demonstrated initiative and follow-through on tasks.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Pass all required DODD training offerings.
  • Clear background check and drug test.
  • Maintain a driving record with fewer than six (6) points.

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on credentials and years of experience.
