Position Responsibilities

  • Deliver LifeWise Instruction
    • Execute the LifeWise curriculum effectively in the educational setting.
    • Invest in nurturing relationships with students and commit to regular prayer for their well-being.
    • Establish and uphold a secure, organized, and engaging classroom atmosphere utilizing diverse teaching methodologies and constructive discipline.
  • Record Keeping
    • Document attendance for each session and provide necessary records to the LifeWise Program Director and/or educational authorities.
    • Maintain precise class rosters, noting health concerns and special requirements of students as indicated on parental consent forms.
    • Prepare comprehensive information and resources for substitute educators.
  • Classroom Management
    • Ensure a tidy, appealing, and well-structured classroom environment.
    • Understand protocols for managing emergency situations.
    • Acquire classroom supplies as necessary, utilizing funds allocated by the Program Director.
  • Communication
    • Serve as a representative of LifeWise Academy within the broader community.
    • Participate in annual school events and other outreach opportunities as available.
    • Maintain continuous communication with school staff to stay informed about class schedule modifications and ensure student welfare.
    • Foster relationships with volunteers and keep them updated on scheduling changes.
    • Provide regular updates, narratives, and images to the Program Director.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification program.
    • Engage in the annual LifeWise Summit.
    • Attend monthly virtual meetings of the LifeWise Teacher's Lounge.
    • Assist with fundraising initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of two years of instructional experience in either an educational or church environment.
  • A mature personal Christian faith that aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
  • Active involvement in a church where teachings are consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
