Key Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision: Oversee and direct a team of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to ensure effective implementation of educational programs.
  • IEP Development: Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, progress monitoring, and data collection.
  • Training and Evaluation: Provide training, professional development, and evaluation of Instructional Assistants and Paraprofessionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Direct Service: Provide direct service to individuals with disabilities on a weekly basis.
  • Intervention Development: Assist in developing interventions, onboarding new students, and creating initial programming.
  • Collaboration: Assist with meetings with school districts and agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in developing curriculum and student programming, and modifying instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to promote student success and address any concerns.
  • Transition Support: Assist in the transition of consumers to adult services.
  • Schedule Input: Assist in the input of weekly schedules.
  • Departmental Support: Assist the Education Director in planning departmental meetings and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Licensure: Meet current ODE licensure requirements
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience working with K-12 students and in I/DD preferred
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills required
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and creatively
  • Initiative: Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks
  • Certifications: Possess and maintain First Aid and CPR training, pass and maintain all required DODD training offerings, and pass a background check
