Job Overview

Gotham Organization is seeking a highly skilled Leasing Professional to join its team. As a key member of the leasing team, you will be responsible for driving the performance of assigned properties and delivering exceptional customer service to residents, prospects, and the brokerage community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage apartment rentals, including marketing, leasing, and customer relations.
  • Register and tour prospects, highlighting the benefits of living in a Gotham property.
  • Engage in continuous follow-up with prospects and employ strong closing techniques.
  • Respond to online inquiries, phone calls, and provide accurate information on apartment inventory, application requirements, and building policies.
  • Track prospect information to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collect and prepare verification documents to process applications efficiently.
  • Administer leases and other legal documents with attention to detail.
  • Manage listings of vacant apartments on key websites, updating daily and ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Handle lease assignment requests in conjunction with the Management team.
  • Collaborate with the leasing team to identify market changes and competitive trends.
  • Discuss market information and trends with the Leasing Director and Marketing Department.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and collect market comparables as directed.

Requirements & Critical Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Full-time position, 5 days a week, with weekend requirements.
  • NYS Real Estate License required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Amiable demeanor, with a focus on exceptional service and effective communication.
  • Experience with property management and leasing software preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • This position will be based in one of our Manhattan buildings, with potential coverage in LIC or Brooklyn on an as-needed basis.
