We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Payments team at Google. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that drive innovation and growth in the payments space.
Responsibilities- Write high-quality product or system development code.
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
We're looking for candidates with:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools or debugging.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and technologies, and will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, bonus, equity, and benefits.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
