About the Role

At YouTube, we're redefining the creator experience with Shorts, a mobile-first platform for vertical video creation. We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer III to join our team and help us build a scalable creation platform that meets the needs of our growing creator base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-impact creation features that will be seen by millions of creators every day.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard partner features and build out the platform to support their needs.
  • Work with a variety of technologies, including client, server, cross-platform, logging, and metrics.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • Experience with Android application development and Java programming.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Experience with full-stack development, cross-platform, and accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution.
