Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Commerce, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems for Google's Commerce team. You will work on critical projects that impact the shopping experience for billions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality product or system development code.
  • Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
